I recently heard something that stuck with me all week.  If you went to watch a loved one compete in a marathon and were standing at the finish line trying to cheer them on–what would you say?  Chances are the positive, affirming statements and cheers would burst out as you watched every step they took towards their goal. You might even cry because you are so proud.

Don’t we owe it to ourselves to say the same things about our efforts?
